Life was much simpler then,
Trapped in my own world,
We had no reason to fear each other,
Placid simplicity,
A divide wrought in pain,
Bathing in darkness.

Time folds around me,
Tears flow inside,
A taste of inception.

Days feel distant, Visions obscured,
Remembering through the haze,
Times of silence, Reflective desires,
Holding on to a dream,

Static fills up the screen.

Time hides our bitter fears,
Pain brings us closer,
Deception makes us count the cost,
Delusive reality,
Without hope we reap the harvest ,
Bathing in deceit.

Time folds around me,
Tears flow inside,
A fabled awareness.

Days feel distant, Visions obscured,
Remembering through the haze,
Times of silence, Reflective desires,
The past has no hold nor no claim,

Memories in reverie.
